Delivery Information
We deliver fireworks across mainland UK by specialist courier. Fireworks are classed as explosives, so they can’t be sent by ordinary post or parcel services. Every delivery must be signed for.
Delivery charges
- Minimum order for delivery: £99. Orders under £99 are available by Click & Collect only. See our Firework Shops & Click & Collect page.
- Orders from £99 to £399: delivery is a flat rate of £15.95 including VAT for most mainland UK postcodes.
- Orders of £400 or more: free delivery to addresses in England. The £400 is calculated after any discounts.
- Scottish Highlands and some other Scottish postcodes: an extra charge applies, typically £30, because our couriers charge more to reach these areas.
Your exact delivery charge is worked out from your postcode and order value, and is always shown in your basket before you pay.
Specialist delivery for explosives is expensive. A typical delivery costs us well over the £15.95 we charge, so we subsidise the cost of every delivery.
When will my order arrive?
- Choose your despatch date at checkout. We despatch on that date or the working day before.
- Allow at least 3 working days for us to pick and pack your order.
- After despatch, delivery normally takes 2 to 5 working days depending on your postcode. Remote areas such as Aberdeen, the Highlands and Cornwall may take a day or two longer.
- Our couriers collect from us on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, so despatch takes place on those days.
- Plan around your event. We recommend choosing a despatch date at least 7 days before you need your fireworks.
- We don’t pack or deliver at weekends, and our couriers close over Christmas. If you need fireworks between Christmas and New Year, please call us before ordering.
Busy periods
From 15 October to 10 November we’re at our busiest, and orders may take a few extra days to despatch. September, October and December are also busy. Please order as early as you can for Bonfire Night, Christmas and New Year.
Signing for your delivery
- Deliveries are made on working days, usually between 8am and 5pm. Our couriers can’t book a specific time.
- Deliveries must be signed for by someone aged 18 or over, who may be asked for photo ID.
- A business address is often best, as someone is more likely to be there to sign. If you’re using a home address, please make sure someone will be in. You can leave instructions for the driver in the notes box at checkout.
If a delivery fails
If the courier can’t deliver because nobody aged 18 or over is available to sign, or ID isn’t provided when asked, your fireworks are returned to us. We’ll contact you to arrange another delivery. Redelivery is charged at the full delivery rate, not our subsidised flat rate. As a guide, this is currently £30.00 plus 40p per kg of the order’s weight, including VAT. For example, redelivering a 20 kg order costs £38.00.
Checking your delivery
Please check your cartons when they arrive. If any carton is visibly damaged, tell the driver and write it clearly on the delivery note before signing. Let us know about any damage or missing items as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours, so we can resolve it quickly with our courier. Business customers must report damage within 48 hours, as set out in our terms.
Click & Collect
Prefer to collect? Click & Collect is available all year from our Sherwood, Nottingham shop, and from our Grantham, Ilkeston and Matlock shops during the firework seasons. Please allow at least 72 hours between ordering and collecting. See our Firework Shops & Click & Collect page for details.
